PSA, Pacific Southwest Airlines, Douglas DC-4, N30068, 1950s
- In 1954 PSA purchased two DC-4's. This type aircraft offered many advantages to passengers and the airline over the venerable DC-3, non the least that the DC-4 could carry twice as many passengers as the DC-3. By the end of the 50s the DC-4's had become inefficient to operate and all four of this type were retired in 1959. Charter operations were performed for two more years with some of the DC-4's until 1961.
