The little Baptistery, Battistero, Florence
- The Baptistry is most famous for the bronze doors with relief sculptures by Lorenzo Ghiberti. It stands beside the Cathedral in central Florence, and most likely it is the city's oldest building. The Baptistery was built on the site of a Roman temple, around the 11th century. This is where Dante was baptised.
