Name History: LEADER PRINCE until 1988
NEW GULANGYU until 1984
GU LANG YU until 1984
KONG OLAV V until 1968
This ship caught fire on the 25th day of August 1993 and was towed to Junk Bay in Hong Kong and was purposely beached. All Passengers and crew were rescued. Subsequently this grounded ship was re-floated and towed to China for metal salvage in May 1994.
