This is the time when i lived in India for a short while and was so taken aback at the abject poverty i saw there. The humanity I experienced while spending time in places such as this on my own, gave me the hope that there are solutions to these huge problems. The empowerment of providing equal education to girls and women is one aspect of many that are effective. And of course the bigger problem of climate change is seemingly overwhelming and remind me that one ot the largest aspects of this problem is over population. I estimate that we will have a huge depoplulation events int eht years to come.
It is obviouse that consumption is an overwhelming problem with no proven solutions in sight. The only way to radicaly reduce consumption and our inundation and destruction of sustainability, is that mass depopulation is unfortunately the only viable answer to humanities lack of action. We all continue to have our Head Buried in the Sand and thusly I no longer see any other solution. It does make me sad.
