- From 21/11/2008 to 14/11/2012 Airship Ventures Inc. offered "flightseeing" tours in a 12-passenger blimp. The company was based out of Moffett Federal Airfield near Mountain View, California.
The airship is built by Zeppelin Luftschifftechnik GmbH, and is one of two zeppelins in the world. This one is named Eureka and is 75 meters long (246 feet). It was the largest airship in the world. Its ferry flight from Texas to the Bay Area was the first zeppelin flight in the United States in 71 years. The company was owned by a husband-wife team, Alexandra and Brian Hall. This zeppelin is no longer flying and has been shipped back to Germany.
