Thick plume of haze from the coast of China to the Korean Peninsula, December 2008
- A thick plume of haze blew off the coast of China, across the Yellow Sea, and toward the Korean Peninsula. In this image, one can see that the gray haze is dense enough to obscure this view of the South Korean coastal areas. This haze most likely comes from a combination of agricultural fires and industrial pollution.

Connecting The Dots With Vern
We are in fervent denial that our human caused pollution is not that big of a deal (think about it), and all the while believing technological solutions will eventually and simply bail us out (think about it). Our inability to acknowledge the destruction of our environmental abuse is one of the many atrocities that is presently destroying a habitable world. Though Earth does not care in the least, WE as the dominant species should! To continue this enormity of abuse only hastens living organisms own demise.
