Soldiers Memorial Monument Bronze Plaque, World War One, WWI, landmark, 3 July 2005
- This monument was built in 1927 to honor WWI veterans from Contra Costa County. It was built by Ralph Stackpole. The monument portrays 1 black soldier and 3 white soldiers which stirred up some controversy when it was created because of the racism of the caucasian population. Fortunately the racist pigs lost this round.
