This fiberglass statue was built for the New York Worlds Fair in early 1965. It was created by Fiberglass sculptor Gordon Schumaker. At the close of the fair this leviathan of a sculpture was moved back to Alexandria by truck. The statue is 28 feet tall and still guards the city of Alexandria from invaders. You can find this statue at the North edge of downtown, in Central Park, on the south shore of Lake Agnes.
