This Electra was built by Lockheed in 1958 and and saw service as N5501V for General Motors as an engine test bed. On Nov. 22, 1961 this aircraft was purchased by the Los Angeles Dodgers. It would be the Dodgers travel plane in the early 1960s. This L-188A flew the team for 10 years before being transferred over to American Airlines AAL on Dec. 17, 1970 as N1432. In 1995 it was bought by an aviation aerial spray company based in Alberta Canada named Air Spray which converted this aircraft into a firefighting airtanker C-FVFH. This aircraft was replaced by the new Dodgers Boeing 720B jet.
