Title:
Sea Pen (Ptilosarcus gurneyi)
Ptilosarcus gurney is actually made up of thousands of individuals. Each of these tiny animals has eight feathery tentacles and a mouth. The animals work together in groups to support the many functions required to make the colony work as one. If the Sea Pen is annoyed it will quickly fold up and disappear into the sand, and if this remarkable organism is touched, it flashes light.
