NASA/Army 740, RSRA, Sikorsky, Rotor Systems Research Aircraft, Dryden Flight Reserach Center
- This Aircraft was a joint NASA/Army venture that began in 1970, with the first of two aircraft arriving from Sikorsky on 2/11/1979. This helicopter was built to research the concept of stopping the main rotor in flight, and then letting the conventional wings provide lift. The main rotor is not attached in this image.
