This aircraft experienced a dramatic incident on 19/02/1985. Operating as flight 006 TPE to Los Angeles International Airport LAX, it experienced an engine #4 failure during the flight and rolled over plunging 30,000 feet before recovering and diverting to San Francisco SFO. The 747SP went into a free fall and experienced 5G forces that damaged the flight control surfaces. Amazingly this flight did not end in tragedy.
