- This was a Canadian license built version of the Douglas DC-4, the DC4M was re-engined with Rolls Royce Merlin engines. Unlike the DC-4, the airliner was pressurised and could be recognised by its square 'DC-6 like' windows. Some 22 DC-4M's were operated by British Overseas Airways from 1948 until 1960.
