Cedar Point Lighthouse, Long Island, New York State, East Coast, Atlantic Ocean, Eastern Seaboard
- Cedar Point Lighthouse was built in 1893. It is a 35 foot high wooden lighthouse that served as a guide to Sag Harbor Whalers. It was rebuilt in 1868 in what is called Boston Granite Style Architecture. The four story tower was decommissioned in 1934. The old lighthouse stood on an island 200 yards off shore, but in 1938 the famous hurricane filled the gap with sand making the island a peninsula.
