Title:: Men Eating, Zikr; It is common in the World of Islam for Muslims to get together and do a Zkr (rememberence) ceremony every Thursday, the night before the Holy Friday. Different nations and different groups in Islam have various ways of celebrating the event. These Kurdish dervishes play drums and dafs and dance and shout to the name of God. The ceremony can last anywhere from 1 to 3 hours upon discretion of the leader, usually called a Sheikh.
