Originally built by the St. Louis Car Co. in 1947 for the. Philadelphia Transportation Company, Philadelphia PA, 1947 (as car No. 2721). In 1992 it was acquired by Muni from Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority, Philadelphia PA.

This paint scheme is in honor the New York borough of Brooklyn, which ran PCC streetcars from 1936 to 1956. Streetcars were so pervasive that the local baseball club was named the 'Trolley Dodgers' which were to become the Los Angeles Dodgers after they relocated.
