Code Number: CJHV01P04_11 Title: Sheikh Husein, near Gobe
Notes: This village was named after the Muslim saint of the same name who died there, according to oral sources, in the 10th Century AD. Thousands of Muslims gather at the site twice a year to honor the saint, do zikr (rememberence ceremony) and pray for other Muslims. According to locals, going to Sheikh Hussein during the pilgrimage is the equivalent from going to Mecca for other Muslims.
